The Fornya Sauna Hat is made from a single 4mm layer of pure Australian merino wool felt, hand-stitched and finished with a small embroidered Fornya mark. The wool’s natural lanolin makes it water-resistant; the dense, felted body insulates your scalp from the sauna’s hottest layer of air.
Felted wool is built for repeated heat exposure — it softens and develops character with use rather than wearing out.

After each session, hang to dry in a well-ventilated space — never in direct heat. The hat is self-cleaning thanks to wool’s natural antimicrobial properties.

The Fornya Sauna Hat has a 23″ internal circumference (59 cm) and is designed to fit most adult heads. The dense wool felt softens and molds slightly to the shape of your head over the first few sessions — the fit improves with use.
To check, measure the circumference of your head with a soft tape, just above the ears and across the brow. If you fall between roughly 22–24″ (56–62 cm), the hat will sit comfortably.

Comfortable and effective
I was sceptical a hat could make the heat more comfortable but it genuinely does. The fit is snug without being tight and it stays put when I lie down. My sessions have gone from ten minutes to twenty five.

The Fornya Sauna Hat is one size, with a 23" internal circumference (59 cm). The wool felt softens and molds slightly to your head over the first few sessions, so it fits most adult heads comfortably — snug without being tight.
Pure Australian merino wool. A single 4mm layer of dense, felted wool, hand-stitched and finished with a small embroidered Fornya mark. No synthetic blends, no bonded layers.
Natural is completely undyed — a warm off-white, the wool’s own color straight from the fleece. Charcoal is a soft matte dark grey, colored with a safe, non-toxic dye chosen for heat stability, so it won’t bleed or transfer in the sauna. Same wool, same construction in both.
Your scalp is the most heat-sensitive part of your body. A 4mm wool hat insulates it from the sauna’s hottest layer of air, so you can stay in longer and more comfortably without your head feeling overheated first.
Briefly, in the very first session — that’s the natural lanolin warming up. It fades within a few minutes and never returns. Wool is naturally antibacterial, so the hat doesn’t develop odor over time the way synthetic hats do.
